Barbell Business – Growing to 1000+ Gym Members w/ Matt Reynolds

This week on BARBELL BUSINESS, we interview Matt Reynolds of Reynolds Strong. In this show, Matt discusses:

  • How he built one of the largest strength gyms in the US
  • How he grew to over 1000 members
  • The keys to their gym’s on-going success
  • Lessons learned from recently selling STRONG Gym
  • His top tips to operating as a high-performing entrepreneur

About the guest: Matt Reynolds has nearly 20 years of experience competing in strength sports and coaching barbell-based strength and conditioning. He first totaled “elite” in powerlifting in 2004, won his professional status in the sport of Strongman in 2006, and recently sold his business, STRONG Gym (PowerliftingWatch Gym of the Year 2013 and 2014) the strongest gym in the country. He also teaches Exercise Science at Bryan University, has his SSC and CSCS certifications, has served as a staff coach with Mark Rippetoe for Starting Strength Seminars since 2010, and his online training business is just starting to really take off.

He and his team recently sold STRONG Gym which they have grown over the years to have over 1,000 happy, loyal, and really freakin’ strong members.

So yes, he’s a busy guy – but busy doesn’t keep him from reading 1-2 books each week. He boasts that no one can out work and out learn him. So, what’s the secret to his super-natural high performance, high productivity?
