Meet Kurt, New Barbell Shrugged Co-Host

The Barbell Shrugged Podcast returns in just a few weeks with brand new episodes and some fresh faces.

First up and most fresh is Kurt Mullican, long-time Shrugged coach and new podcast co-host.
In case you didn’t know, our mission goes beyond the show. We’ve devoted most of our efforts to developing content and training programs, like the Muscle Gain Challenge.

To date, we’ve helped over 1,500 new athletes add size and rapidly grow as lifters, but in all honesty, none have impressed me quite as much as Kurt.

He did great as an athlete in that program, working to add some 30 pounds of bodyweight to his frame, and over 100 pounds to his back squat. But beyond all the gains, Kurt actually displayed a remarkable and rare talent for coaching and supporting other athletes.

We were lucky to have him on as a Barbell Shrugged Coach. And now, I’m very proud to welcome him to the podcast as a new co-host. He’s got a wealth of experience and insights to share, and I’ll add, is damn good at dishing out potty humor.

You’re going to fall in love with the guy.

Kurt, I can’t wait to see your journey unfold. It’s going to be a great ride. You’ve earned it.

Cheers,

Chris

Chris Moore is a writer, recovering meathead, fledgling raconteur and rabid imbiber. He's also cohost and resident potty mouth on Barbell Shrugged, a weekly podcast devoted to Crossfit, strength, fitness and all things brash. His experience is drawn from over twenty-years spent training for and competing in American Football, Powerlifting, a bit of strongman and a dash of mixed martial arts. Also, it's possible that he's had one too many cups of coffee. A caffeine fever is a hell of a thing, you know?

  • Kurt… my man you are one of the funniest and most genuine human beings I have had the pleasure of getting to know. And it’s all thanks to a “relatively” unknown thing called Barbell Shrugged 😉 but because of FLIGHT you have been there for all of us and I can’t thank you enough. More-so I can’t tell you enough how excited I am to see you on the podcast. You’ve earned it! Thanks Coach!
